Three years (about 1000 years) of European dominance came to an agonising end for holders Real Madrid as a Tadic inspired Ajax drubbed them 4-1.
Real Madrid came into this encounter on the back of two classico losses and even though they had the advantage from the first leg, it was always Ajax that looked the better side.
Ajax proved they were in for no games when they went two goals up in the opening 20 minutes following two assists from impressive Tadic which turned the tie in their favour.
In the second half, one would’ve expected Real to hit back but given their recent struggles and poor run of results, it was not to be. Tadic Scored and assisted another making history with a hatrick of assists in a knockout game for the first time ever.
Though Asensio did pull one back for Real but it did little to curb the humiliation and historic defeat suffered in the hands of Ajax.
Real Madrid may have made history with their three–times-in-a-row Champions league triumph but they’ve given Ajax a chance of making another huge history following that defeat.
What a team of HISTORIES.
It’s obvious the miss Ronaldo.
