The race to finish in the remaining champions league slots (i.e 3rd and 4th place) remained wide following the poor performances of the clubs involved.
Tottenham lost 0-1 to Manchester City and this was supposed to propel other clubs to seize the opportunity to usurp them but unfortunately it was not to be.
Manchester United were trashed away at Everton, Arsenal could not stop their backline from conceding miserable goals thereby loosing 2-3 to Crystal Palace on home turf.
Everyone expected that Chelsea will seize the opportunity with both hands but they failed to successfully dispatch a lowly Burnley side who proved a handful for them managing only a draw with them.
Well as it stands now, it looks like the race for the top four will go down the wire as we keep our fingers crossed and watch as events unfold.
